In response to an article that has appeared in The Chronicle of Higher Education, the College has issued the following statement:
"The allegations about the credentials of President Henry A. Zimon as reported by The Chronicle of Higher Education are false and totally groundless.
Each and every question raised about President Zimon's resume was thoroughly addressed to the satisfaction of both the Presidential Search Committee and Board of Trustees before and after President Zimon was appointed president in February 1999.
All of President Zimon=92s credentials as described on his resume were discussed in full detail with the the Presidential Search Committee, which was made up of faculty, administrators, trustees, alumni and students, and the Board of Trustees.
Albright College and its Board of Trustees have full confidence in President Zimon and consider the matter closed."
Please direct any inquiries that you may receive regarding this matter to the Director of College Relations, Barbara Marshall, 921-7789. Your assistance in sharing this information with individuals who are not on e-mail will be appreciated
