4.
In your oversight responsibility of the army's educational system have you authored any documents on any aspect of their management or financial management? I am trying to ascertain the level of your responsibility and your role with these institutions and my understanding from our February meeting was that your role was significant and substantial.
5.
My understanding of the status of your two books is that they are both in a very advanced stage of production. As I understood you at the February meeting, the Pareger book is with an editor and is actually complete, except that the editor has asked you to add a final chapter, especially because your ideas were adopted in the final document. My understanding also was that the second book you are co-editing is also ina fairly advanced stage. Is my understanding on the subject correct? Also, since your resume does not mention this, can you please let me know who the publisher of the second book is?
I regret if my questions appear rude. In the interests of word economy, I have had to be more direct than perhaps is appropriate with a new college president. But I hope you will understand. As I said I also will be satisfied with brief, succinct answers given your responsibilities at this time.
I respect and admire your willingness to respond directly to my concerns. As I had indicated to you earlier, since I have publicly raised some of my concerns, I will be fair to you and if I should come away from our dialogue satisfied, I will publicly state so. Your responses to my five questions above will go a long way in addressing the dore issues of concern to me.
